For The Ring Toss By The Water

Mom, I was thinking about those beach house days with friends around, the water nearby, everybody laughing, and me learning how to play ring toss in the middle of it all.

At the time, it probably just felt like a fun day. Now I see more in it. You helped create a life where happiness could happen naturally, where I could be around people I loved and feel easy inside my own skin.

I hope today has a little of that same ease in it for you, especially as you keep recovering. I love you, Mom.
