For Ring Toss By The Water

Mom, I was remembering those beach house days with friends around, water nearby, laughter going, and me learning how to play ring toss in the middle of it all.

At the time, I probably just knew I was having fun. Now I can see more clearly that you helped make life feel open like that. You gave me room to enjoy people, to relax, to be happy without having to earn it or explain it.

I hope today has some of that easy brightness in it for you, along with comfort as you keep getting your steadiness back. I love you, Mom.
