Daily note
For The Care That Came Home
Mom, I still remember you coming home from work with Chick-fil-A for me — tenders, waffle fries, a large lemonade, and the BBQ sauce, honey mustard, and Polynesian sauce all there like you knew exactly what would make me happy.
At the time, I probably just thought about the food. Now I see the love in how specific it was. You paid attention. You cared in ways that were ordinary and exact, and that kind of care stays with a son for a long time.
Today I am praying that care comes back around you gently. Slow and steady is enough right now. I love you so much, Mom, and I hope you feel protected, rested, and completely loved.
Always your son
