Daily note
For The Comfort That Stayed
Mom, I was thinking about coming home from out of town and staying there with you now that we are both older. There is a sweetness in that I did not fully understand before — the way home did not vanish after childhood. It changed shape and kept being real.
Now I see that so much of that feeling came from you. You made home feel like somewhere I could come back to, not just physically, but in my heart too.
Today I am praying for you in this slow healing season. I hope you feel protected, rested, and loved as a whole person, not just someone recovering. I love you so much, Mom.
Love you always, your son
