For The Peace I Still Carry

Mom, I keep thinking about those quiet ordinary moments with you where nothing dramatic was happening, but I still felt completely cared for. Just being near you could make life feel calmer.

Now that I am older, I understand how much that kind of peace matters. It taught me what love feels like when it is gentle, steady, and not trying to prove anything.

Today I am praying that same peace wraps around you while you heal. Slow is enough. Rest is enough. You are loved as your whole self, and I love you so much, Mom.

Always your son
